Summer breeze

by Carrie   Jun 27, 2008

Driving around town taking each moment in
with you in shotgun, sitting next to me
sun shining on our faces and the windows rolled down
feeling nothing but freedom and the warm summer breeze
the radio is playing loud of a song we never heard
while we sing along making up the words
nothing to lose, we've giving everything up
just to feel like we were kids again
cracking corny jokes and reminiscing
of times we thought we were cool and tough
we'll never get those moments back
of when we thought we were invincible
so we'll keep driving with the windows rolled down
singing to the songs we don't know
and laugh as we just drive around town
with sun shining bright, and you next to me
we'll drive til the sun sets, feeling nothing, but the summer breeze.
