Lingering

I linger in my thoughts tonight

Of ever mistake I made

That only brought on fights

Which never seem to fade

Like a pen to paper, its been written

With no erasing what I've done

It lingers with what I never won

How can one erase memories

That doesn't seem to hide

Only grows deeper inside

Showing in the tears I cry

That have never been able to dry

So when will these letters be burned

Of ink that made its mark on stone

Which has only left me totally alone...
