Repeated Love Cycle

You came into my life,
No longer had to look.
Went straight to my heart,
My world you shook.

Finally, every thing was perfect,
Keeping you was my ultimate goal.
Every word I spoke was so true,
Came deep down from the soul.

I always knew you would leave,
But I just couldn't let you go.
You made me love every day,
Those times seem so long ago.

Before I even knew it,
You had already slipped away.
I couldn't believe what happened,
I wasn't enough to make you stay.

All of a sudden, nothing mattered,
I would lay in bed and cry.
My life turned into a downward spiral,
All of those happy days I kissed goodbye.

Then finally, you came back,
Back into my heart so fast.
Only to find out you feel differently,
I'm the one stuck in the past.

Even so, my feelings were real,
We started talking every night.
We would keep each other company,
Until outside, there was sunlight.

Before I even knew it,
You were gone yet again.
And with no way of contact,
This wasn't part of the plan.

So, here we go again,
Waiting to hear back from you.
Sick of this repeated love cycle,
