Most Trusted Enemy.

by Kayla Kay   Jun 30, 2008

Is my mind deceiving me?
"cause you're nothing like you use to be.
How could such truth flow with sincerity?
Lacerating words cut easily.
But thank you for the honesty.
You're my most trusted enemy.

On what does such betrayal feed?
Does it make you flinch to know I bleed?
Do my tears satisfy your selfish need?
Is such a heart of solely greed?
Do you feel remorse that I can't breathe?
Did you smile to watch him leave?

Sins unravel in your perfection.
In our trust came deception.
I never though I'd need protection.
And what a terrible misconception.
But beauty masks an ugly reflection.
I never asked to be the exception.
