Leave me in this fallen city.

by Kayla Kay   Jan 22, 2008

You released my hand.
I walk alone.
Along a path of destruction.
Crumpled walls.
Trampled ashes.
Withered butterflies beneath debris.
Burned down walls of memories.
Shriveled hearts.
Irregular beats.
Without you.
I'm not complete.
I'll suffocate under everything you tore down.
I'll crawl through fractured pieces of who I was.
Just walk away.
In your complete perfection.
A victim left unharmed.
Leave me in this fallen city.
Failing attempts at reconstruction.
This can never be rebuilt.
This can never be rebuilt.
