Dark angel

You were the night and my dawn
you are the reason I am gone;
yet in the light I am strong
but in this shadowed reflection
there is no hope of true redemption

outcasting the souls
trying to lighten your load;
lost and not knowing their roles,
pushed from your light into darkest night

you made a mistake,
broken hearts left in your wake.
what's wrong with the light?
is it much too bright?

for your dark and tattered soul
you angel of darkness
you bringer of sadness
you casted your heart into the void

then I saw your soul
in this kingdom of gold
and yet I still stand next to you like an angel of light
but you ran away into the night

then in the pain
you sat in the rain
revolted with shame and cursing my name
for light has no night
no angel has fright
and so I cast you out of my sight
and this will always remain the same
that you shaould be alone
and be known as the angel of night
the angel with no name
with nothing to bear but your shame
and this is the end of your game.
