I Threw Away The Kiss You Blew

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jul 7, 2008

I threw away the kiss you blew to me
and shred the paper heart so they won't see.
I unwrote all the love notes
and replaced the anecdotes.
I wilted the flowers with the thought of you
and rebuilt myself, the one I thought I knew.

Well, you were wrong and so was I.
This heartbreak is a chance to die.
Our love had the perfect disguise.
You weaved the clear web laced with lies.
I let the candy melt and become stale.
I don't care anymore, I am too frail.
You were the one I tore my heart out for
and that doesn't matter anymore.

I threw away the kiss you blew to me
and shred the paper heart so they won't see.
I unwrote all the love notes
and replaced the anecdotes.
I wilted the flowers with the thought of you
and rebuilt myself, the one I thought I knew.

I regained my virginity
and crossed out the infinity.
Erased your name a thousand times
and replayed all your silent crimes.
The I love yous were all put on mute.
and all those poems tossed down the chute.
Broken notes are all that is left of our song.
A hollow place is where you use to belong.

I threw away the kiss you blew to me
and shred the paper heart so they won't see.
I unwrote all the love notes
and replaced the anecdotes.
I wilted the flowers with the thought of you
and rebuilt myself, the one I thought I knew.

Aww. this was a sad poem. but you know what, i know a lot of people can relate to such a situation of love...a wonderful poem, again...this poem had a nice repitition of the first stanza, it was truely effective and perfect. this could almost be like a song if it was shorter. 5/5.
