My Fatality

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Feb 15, 2010

Hear the color of black and white,
and feel this absent soul.
See the dark within the light;
walk on this burning coal.

It feels as if you've slipped away,
into another place.
I'd beg you to forever stay,
but I can't find your trace.

The burning embers of my eyes
have yet found time to cease.
I keep tight these fiery cries
and yearn for their release.

As I reach out and touch the air
I feel cold reality.
There is always nothing there,
that's my fatality.
