A beautiful dying.

by Joe   Jul 8, 2008

Her eyes are swollen, they blaze bright red.
Her heart is shattered, she's almost dead.
She stares at the picture of her beautiful guy,
He seemed so invincible, she whispered through her cry,
Answer me this, why, oh why, did he have to die?

She hides away, afraid of fear.
She can't believe, it's been a whole year.
And yet, she mourns for him to this very day
She doesn't care if the pain goes away,
just as long as the memories stay.

Her life is standing still.
People around her know how to deal,
Just because they do not feel.
She still looks at the picture, and remembers the day
The tears that linger, do not stay.

In the picture he is smiling,
knowing that day, that he was dying
Six months later, she'll be crying
And cursing him for all his lying.

One year later, and she's still crying,
Still cursing him for all his lying,
Wishing he was here, still smiling
Only that will stop her crying,
Only that will stop her dying.
