When i think about where I've been and where I'm headed
The people I've met and taken for granted
I try to believe it all happens for a reason
And nothing occurs unless there's a meaning

It's crazy how much I've grown in a year
Through a hectic school schedule, work, laughter and tears
I've learned of love, been pushed down and gotten back up
Been on my own, all alone and never given up

I lead by example and always do my best
I know if I work I'll be that and nothing less
But life throws these fast balls it seems at only me
And after falling down I force myself on my feet
