Written By Candlelight

These words flicker in and out,
Just like this candles flame.
Barely visible
One second light
The next darkness
I can hardly see these words that I am writing
But I know theyre there
I can feel them.
I can hear them
Wanting to get out
I stare into this candles flame
Searching for them hoping that
Maybe the words would use
This flickering light as a guide
And find their way out.

I cant see them
But I know they can see me.
I feel them searching.
And in this candles flame
Lies the only hope that will
Help them find freedom,
Though dim it maybe

I wrote this poem by candlelight
Hoping that with this little ray
Of light, my words will find
Their way out of the darkness

    First of all, you tied this together beautifully. I really liked it. my question is...did you REALLY write it by candle light?

    I cant see them
    But I know they can see me
