Darkness Turning.

by Danica   Jul 14, 2008

She was scared to show the real side,
thought they'd hate her for what's inside.

Never stopped to think what's on the real
didn't want to make it all such a big deal.

Taking a halt at the surface and never diving in,
didn't know where to start, had no clue where to begin.

Always one step forward but always three steps back,
never stepping up but hiding in her slack.

Didn't have the courage to be real and be free,
instead she stayed behind her shield and let it all be.

All she's really doing is waiting for a love,
holding back 'till someone cares enough to give her a shove.

Tried looking for Jesus, cause she knew He would be there
but then remembered her loneliness and stopped without a care.

Didn't think He would find her in her darkness state
but then the miracle happened & she knew it was fate.

A slow and steady conversion is what changed her life,
four years and counting, all without a strife.
