Inside

Twelve AM it fell apart
Twelve AM I knew no more
Twelve AM was Twelve AM
It's tomorrow beyond that door

Twelve-O-one with nothing left
Twelve-O-one left with only thoughts
Twelve-O-one there's nothing more
But feelings inside that door

As times moves on, the inside only deepens
Inside, these feelings leave me on the floor
Inside, there's no will to get up
But I know it's tomorrow beyond that door

One-to-two, I lay here
One-to-two, I hear them
One-to-two, I lay and suffer
As I hear tomorrow
Beyond that door

Three-to-four, I'm fading
My mind lost where its suffering's found
Three-to-four, I'm dreaming
My mind free from thoughts
Of tomorrow beyond that door

At nine I awaken
Remembering all that's in my heart
At nine I've forsaken
All that is heard beyond that door

Noon comes and I rise
Physical strength finally restored
Noon comes and I walk out
Knowing soon I'll be back
Trapped behind that door
