Imagine

Imagine having a different life,

Imagine being old,

Imagine dying in a hospital bed thats not yours,

But thats the way its supposed to be, or so youre told.

Imagine being in love,

Having that fire in your eyes,

And that person loving you back,

They dont worry about any other girls or guys.

Imagine being homeless,

Not a penny to your name,

Starving, sleeping on the streets,

Wouldnt that be a shame?

Imagine being a doctor,

Whos saving other peoples lives,

But the person he loves the most is the one hes losing,

His dearly beloved wife.

Imagine being the mother,

That lost her only child,

Imagine being the father,

That raised his son too wild.

Imagine being the teenage girl,

Whose boyfriend got her into trouble,

Now all alone nine months later,

She feels her oversized belly rumble.

Imagine being the little boy,

Whos lost and all alone,

No one to call mom and dad,

And nowhere to call his home.

Think about yourself,

And think about what youve turned out to be,

Then imagine, just imagine,

What its like to be me.
