Words Don't Measure Up

by BornAgainWriter   Jul 24, 2008

I'm in love with this guy,
He goes by the name of Carlton,
He's the blue in my sky,
I love him dearly; dead-on.

Baby my words don't measure up,
To the sincere feelings I feel inside,
My heart beats like a reef polyp,
I'll broadcast that world-wide.

I love you more than I love myself,
I honestly never felt this way before,
even though "thou shall love thyself",
Everyday I love you more and more.

Again, My words don't measure up,
To the intense feelings I fee outside,
Looking deep in my eyes close-up,
Holding hands side by side.

I'm in love with everything about you,
The way you smell walking by me,
My heart is lost for you to rescue,
I just knew all along it was meant to be.

But, my words just don't measure up,
To what my body feels inside and out,
My heart screams every time you show-up,
The rest of our future will sprout.

Because we're both in total love,
We can't do without each other,
I look to the blue skies above,
That reminds me of my lover.
