Dear diary, Today he:

by Unreal   Jul 25, 2008

Dear diary, he kissed me today.
He said he loves me,
And he won't ever lose me,
Again...

He said he's been a changed person,
& known the meaning of true love. .
He looked into his heart,
And found me, the entire part.

I can't believe it,
Maybe we're meant to be.
He's lied to me before,
And made me cry for thee before.

But if we made it this far,
Don't we forget our scars?
Should I let down my guard,
Or will he shatter my heart?

Dear diary, I'm a little confused,
He says he's lost,
"Farewell" he bid her,
When I found out.

"I never meant to,
I never truly fell,
It was an honest mistake,
I won't make"

A screaming squelch,
Driven, down painful eyes.
Jaw dropped, hearts stopped,
What type of goodbye?

Was this a mistake I had made?
Did I expect him to Change?
Was he leaving me again?
Lost in his eyes to another girlfriend?

Dear diary, he says he's sorry.
Can't imagine being without me.
I can hear him crying,
But I can't see he's lying.

"It will never happen again."
He swore, a sincere solemn swore.
I was quick to doubt,
But he was quicker to come about.

I'll take it slowly,
Nice and easy.
That way I can leave,
As I please.

We've known each other for a while,
Maybe he deserved at least another try.
So we tried once more,
As we did many times before.

Dear diary, I had fun.
We talked like the children we were.
Laughed at silly jokes, he'd been told,
Or created just witty and bold.

We walked by the same places,
Passed the same points in time.
Sat through the same movies,
But it was different this time.

There was no recklessness,
No pity, no uncertainty, no confusion.
There was no longer love and compassion,
Driven with deep intentions.

The fire, the fury, the agony, the misery;
The weeping, the seeking, the drive of temptation.
We'd lost it all to the past.
Those mistakes couldn't be let go so fast
