Midnight Symphony

by gracey grey   Jul 26, 2008

Silken grey draped with glitters
Distant light shining, flickering fireflies
Half hidden face of one the brightest
stolen ages ago, but not the warmth

Chimes clatters where no owls hoot
Busy ants rest, while crickets sing
Surround sound of whispering wind
symphony created as it passes

Sweet black satin sheet speckled
Dreams doing its shift of tours
Oddities halt, but the clock
Dancing stars way up ahead

Synchronized midnight delights
All seems at par with peace
Panacea this is where leaves rustle
Eyelid seems happy now, goodnight.

An amazing write. Your descriptions of the night are so vivid that they create a beautiful picture upon the page and within the readers (me) mind. Every line has been masterfully crafted. Each ccould stand on its own, however together they are wonderful. I have read this out loud and the words are a joy to hear, their meaning profound.

    Well done
