My first love

by colin octave   Jul 28, 2008

Imagine what it feels like to love,
Imagine what it feels like to really love,
Imagine waking up in the morning with a smile.
Imagine thinking about this special someone,
Imagine kissing this special someone's lips,
Imagine holding his or her hands,
Imagine your bodies, hearts and minds unified by one touch.
Imagine wishing everyday for infinite happiness.
Imagine feeling love so strong,
Imagine you and him or or you and her.

Now that you have imagined, see it, feel it, be it.
Now that you know what love is, how it feels,
Now that you have received love, you have love.
Now love has embraced you,
Now that you have embraced it.
Now, as love grows, as it strengthens,
Now as you hold on tight,
Now that you can or can't sleep at night,
Now, now that it is here.

Now, imagine,
Imagine love is there, Imagine it is here,
Reach out for love,
Sadly love is gone.

I liked how you ended it with sadly love is gone. I was wondering when the sadness comes in. It's not that I've fallen out of love it's just that...Splah we can talk in PM. >_<

I liked the style of this poem.

    Five out of five.

This poem is effective at reflecting on the natural inclination to turn imagination into reality, and its ups and downs

    well done
