Thinking About Her

by charles   Jul 30, 2008

The day's over, sun has set, chores are all done
He goes to his desk to go on-line searching for the one
The girl he talked with most of last night
Whose gentleness and kind words made him feel alright
From his desk he reaches out to the world
But his real wish it to reach out to that girl
All day spent in silence, not too much to say
Just hoping that she'll be there at the end of his day
So he waits till everyone's in bed
For the chance to talk to her and tell her what's in his head
When she does come on she asks about his day
He just gets tounge tied, not knowing what to say
He doesn't know if the words will come out right
Doesn't get it together till it's almost g'night
If only he'd said things from the start
Then maybe she would have seen what's in his heart
Both of them listening to each other's words
He goes to bed with a smile, thinking about her

Very nice, a sweet sentimental kind of poem, good metre and rhyme. If i could be so bold as to suggest trying to break your poems into stanzas in this case stanzas of four lines would have worked well and made the poem more readable.Just a sugestion mind, it's still a very nice poem. Maybe just a personal thing
