Broken Dreams

by David ODonnell   Aug 1, 2008

The ground begins to tremble as the beast is now awake
Through fire, flames and evil bares the choice that you must make
The painful screams of justice and the teary eyes of hate
Display the past of feable words, once words controlled our fate

Moments slain through memories burned and scars of pure emotion
Bloodied hands that bound the knife through words of utter devotion
Broken dreams of once held strong like bones that hold the shape
Bleeding thoughts or punished souls that live to die and escape

Words of plenty invoke the soul but burn out like the sun
The lasting letter of ones last love is writen as tears begun
Sealed with blood of wasted little before it paints the floor
Against your words and against your wishes the words are spoke no more

The sense of hope that drops so sudden as the letter hits the ground
Before the world was full life, now stopped and loss of sound
Your lips that parted in the past express their thoughts once more
A tear begins to grace your cheek then slowly clutch the floor
