Cruel

She finally saw the truth
Right in front of her eyes
She felt so empty
Betrayed by the lies
Blinded by the happiness
That she momentarily found
She never really noticed
How she was falling to the ground
His presence was intoxicating
Leaving her longing for more
But in reality she was stranded
She couldn't take it anymore
She slowly started to break off
All the bridges she had built
And with all of her sorrow
She just couldn't stand the guilt
She treated people like crap
Even when they tried to care
And when they needed her most
She simply wasn't there
So what's the use of someone
As heartless as she is
Surely someone so cruel
Wouldn't be hard to miss.
