Confusion

by Wolf Haines   Aug 8, 2008

You are my ray of light
Shining through the darkest clouds of depression.
You are my guiding beacon
Leading me through the fog of despair.

But you are my lie
Instead of my confession.
You are the shackles on my feet
I now have to wear.

On you and you alone
I spend every penny I save.
You are my fire
In the bitterest cold of winter.

But you are the shovel
To dig my own grave.
In a woodwork masterpiece-
The only splinter.
