The attack

by Amber   Aug 13, 2008

Silently sitting in the chair music blaring,
hands over her ear, trying to sniffle back
her tears as they flow down her face. She
wishes it would end, that attack.

The yelling, the fighting, the screaming between
them all. But this is simply a wish, a wish that no
one seems to be able to fulfill. Not even the all
mighty god. God is just leaving all the woe.

Leaving her to get rid of it by herself. But she can't.
She is not strong enough too. All this fighting is taking
away all of her strength. Leaving her weary and dizzy
wishing all of it away especially the aching.

Slowly closing her eyes, she wishes them to stay closed,
never to open again. But she still hears the anger in their
voices. Once again her wish was not granted. She is still
living in this hell hole, still breathing the hatred in the air.

She fails to hold back her tears, they flow out of her watery
hazel eyes and splatter to the ground. Why'd you have to let
me live? Why not just let me fall into an eternal slumber and
leave this hell hole? To torture me I bet.

So there I still sit in that chair with my music blaring,
hands over my ears, not trying to hold the tears back .
Instead I let them fall to the floor, spill all over my face,
Coloring my eyes a watery color as I accept the attack.
