Bye bye

He said he was sorry
for everything he did wrong
back then everything was blurry
like a poorly written song

the world was ending
nothing could stop it
he wishes he was dreaming
but there was no waking up to fight it

they both cried
the light was getting brighter
life and death were tied
she was a brave fighter

but this battle could not be won
the cancer was too strong
the fight was over and done
and she was forever gone

he sat there thinking this was wrong
she should of lost him
he was not this strong
his life turned dim

their daughter asked where's mama?
all that he could do is cry
he told her the angels stole mama
and that she now lives in the sky.
