Life's Happiness

by H E Losey   Aug 15, 2008

If dreams and wishes could but come true
And mistakes from the past could change
Then the love and friendship long ago lost
Would return, in my heart and soul to remain

But dreaming and wishing alone do not work
And mistakes once made must remain
A man must take action, pursue his desires
If he truly, his life, wants to change

So follow your dreams, make wishes come true
Forgive other's mistakes as you change
Find the friendship and love that once you lost
Life's happiness is yours to reclaim

I was trying to work a bit of wodr play with "change" not changing and "remain" becoming "reclaim" and being far enough seperated to fake a rhyme scheme.(2-8-10/4-6-12). Just had the thought/story then the words seemed to flow into place.
