Our Love Stands Idle

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Aug 15, 2008

My heart may be taken, but to you I must remind,
you may occupy the empty space left behind.
The I love yous may be silent, but they're still there.
They're only unspoken since the situation's unfair.

It ached and fuzzed over at first,
then being vindicated had it reversed.
Loving you made me remorse,
then love's gratitude took course.

So what if I love you? I know it's okay,
even if the chances aren't favored our way.
A relationship in which we can't participate,
but perhaps in the future...I anticipate.
