Part One: One Last Goodbye (Monster Within)

by Syrus   Aug 18, 2008

A monster inside is starting to form
Feeding off every endeavor
Leaving blackened voids that are ever growing
Soon every sin becomes a pleasure
Nightless, dreamless, shameless, nameless
With each vice that's acquired,
Falling deeper into a darkened palace
Haunted memories leave no night stilled
In this house, tossing and turning
Evil lurks in every corner
Screaming, fighting, thrashing
This monster loses thought and sight
Tearing through another wall
Victimizing his tears in the night
Staring into a mirror to scared to reflect
An image so horrid the glass starts to crack
As eyes go red, this was to expect
No one could love such a thing like this
He cries, trembles, and falls to his knees
This monster inside has engulfed too much,
As he starts to pray to something unworldly,
He comes to the realization of what he must do,
Leaving this uncanny mansion of dread
He asks to make it through the dawn,
To watch one more sunset before left for dead...
