Mommy im here

by Rodney Kirby   Aug 21, 2008

This is my family, but they don't say hi.
The loneliness overwhelms, as they pass me by.
I remember my family loved me so
Why can't I remember them letting me go
I roam these empty halls with tears on my face
Reminiscing the times this was my place
I am their son why do they neglect me still
This sadness I cant bear I've lost my will
I whisper in their ear with no reply
Sometimes I get a look but they pass me by
They used to be sad and talk of a boy
How his loving heart had brought them joy
How do they talk of another when I'm so near
I scream in their faces but they cannot hear
Mother please love me why can t you see
This family was mine and that boy was me
I bang on these walls and wonder why
But to no avail they keep passing by
I followed my mom one day to a place on a hill
She stood their crying and stood so so still
She knelt down and placed upon a grave a frame
In writing it said I love you and below that was my name
