Why has no one realised
The world has come to close?
The universe has ended
But it looks like no one knows.

How has no one noticed,
Following their footsteps, him,
Gliding, silent, sombre,
The Reaper, cloaked and Grim?

Why is no one alert
To this apocalypse?
To this final, finishing
And never-ending eclipse?

Can't they see the sunset
Burn into nothingness?
Where are the howling sirens?
Where is the distress?

Don't they know it's over?
Don't they know there's no more
And it will never be like
It has always been before?

Why aren't they aware that
When my heart was shattered,
The world went into ruin,
The world no longer mattered?

An age ago, I lived.
Now it's a life of grief.
Filled with despair and mourning,
Pain and staggered disbelief.
