A Short Prayer

by BornAgainWriter   Aug 25, 2008

Through nights of regret
and days of despair

for times when I strayed
and Knew you.. were still there

so steady you shine never diminished or dimmed
my conscious so heavy reflecting my sins

Oh Lord I ask for your anchor today
pull me close to heart where i know I am safe

Upon your vessel all battles are won
revealing your power through each morning sun

The praise are all yours from my soul through my heart
through my mind through my words I'm compelled by my God

though I walk through the valley I fear not that which awaits
the strength of my faith has ensured my fate

With hands pressed and head bowed till we speak again
I ask that you accept these words Lord

AMEN.

Short yet very meaningful, pleading for help from the One who can hold us and keep us strong.
    very well written...
