The Devil's Playground.

I sit back on the weight of the world
Looking at the weary path of life before me
Nothing's as clear as it once was
Every thing's so dark no light to see

I reach out my hand,and feel nothing
But the sheer shadows pressing upon my skin
I open my eyes to see something
A mirror stands before me, no beauty lies within

I close my eyes once more
As my body begins to act out
Scared, my eyes flutter back open
And I begin to look about

I suddenly feel numb, lifeless
Something aching, breathing on my neck
Ever so slightly it moves with ease
As I approach my time of death

I hear nothing, nothing but footsteps
I realize I'm walking on a winding path
My pace starts to quicken, I'm startled
As I start to feel his deathly wrath

My mind quickens, yearning to know
Each step, filled with a woeful breath
"You're in my hands now Darling,
Because this was your vision of death."

Never written something like this before,
So bare with me guys. It kind of freaked me out
After I realized what exactly I had written.

    Wow!! Now this poem I honestly really loved!! From the first stanza to the last I couldn't look away it was outstanding! To be completely honest I wasn't expecting it to be so dark and powerful but I was wrong. My favorite stanza of this poem wasss :

    I reach out my hand,and feel nothing

    Haha I honestly loveee the last two lines of this stanza they really stood out to me. I've come across a stanza like this before I don't know where but I know I have. It's so deep and I love the choice of words.

    As u said u kinda freaked out after u had written it.... the same Happened to me when i had written my poem " My Truant Soul " more likely as yours......
