When There's A Hand To Hold

by MyxPeacefulxChaos   Aug 30, 2008

She's confused and she lies,
She's pained so she cries.
She's distant but he still holds her hand.
She withdraws and he doesn't understand.

She never braces a smile anymore,
Instead she wears a frown of tore.
He misses her gracious beam, but when he sees her rare smile,
It's the most beautiful thing he's seen in awhile.

She closes her indisputable walls.
She never lets him catch her when she falls.
He tries to get through, but he fails.
But still he continues until he prevails.

Her tears wash away her beautiful eyes,
She's afraid of breaking her struggled ties.
He aspires to wipe away all her tears,
But she pulls away and is clouded by her fears.

She yells and screams and breaks down,
She walks away and doesn't turn around.
He grabs her arm and is confused,
And asks what happened to that strong girl now defused.

She answers him, just as baffled.
Her emotions obliviously raffled.
He patiently listens to her speak,
And he feels his knees suddenly become weak.

He lets a tear slip, for her pain he did not know,
And he wraps her in his arms and never lets go.
She nestles her head in the nook of his neck.
She holds him tight and knows he can fix this wreck.
