Silent Pleas

by DistantKisses   Sep 1, 2008

Alone in her room.
She bled on the floor.
She couldn't think.
She couldn't speak.

The phone ringing off the hook.
As silent tears ran down her cheeks.

Weary eyes that begged for mercy.
Crimson color against a pale complexion.
A tremble here. A tremble there.
Silent pleas fell on deaf ears.

She crumpled onto her side.
Holding her stomach tight.

She wanted to cry.
She wanted to speak.
She wanted anyone out there to hear her voice.
But all had left the girl alone.

So she laid there.
Motionless to the core.

Silent coughs.
Producing crimson streaks.
All on the floor.
Was there anything more?
