Stormy Days

by Shannon Pyscotic   Sep 4, 2008

I awake to hear the blowing of the wind
Almost trying to blow all mortal sin.
through the frosted glass, I see the rain
Part of me wishing it would just go away.

A crack of thunder and flash of lightening
Would make this night horror film frightening.
Slowly, in a daze, I slide out of bed.
Feeling so numb, so tired and so dead.

Taking step after step through the dark, eerie house
I'm startled by movement, but it is just a lowly mouse.
Heading to the loo, i hear a knock at the door
Curious as to who it is, I walk through the hall.

I get to the door and open it wide
You're standing there drenched and force your way inside.
I begin to yell and tears well up
As you raise your arms and tell me "Just shut up"

I hit you and down the hall I run
As you scream at me "That's it, we're done"
