Her own demon

by Shellaine shelli   Sep 15, 2008

She walked alone day after day,
screaming in the empty streets
her unheard screams
left so meaningless and empty.

She always felt like she was not one
but two,
it took the death of her to realize this was true.
she became so use to putting on her false
face, the one that got her through her lonely days
that she became so enticed in the other her,
the girl she created...

She walked alone and
to the world she was invisible,
she was unheard
she was half a girl abandoned by the world.

her other half became lost
to the reality of life,
the other her became a distant memory taken away by the knife, yet still her scars remained unseen
and her screams unheard...

the walls began to crack around her
as she fell to the ground,
silently screaming not making a single sound.
The cuts upon her body
represented her unheard screams...

This was what seemed like a horrific dream
as he grabbed her throat and
began to strangle her,
tightening his grip
and it was then that her half once lost began to feel it
like a parallel dimension
of which the pain ran through
her once lost half guided to new heights
yet the girl still had the urge to take her own life.

Out her grave she came and took
her by the hand
but the girl had suffered so much
that the world just couldn't understand.

She became erased,
a distant memory of the past
the girl she use to be was now lost.
her life experiences destroyed her
she became the demon tightening its grip
until the day she started to slip.

she found her other half yet
was never whole...
her demon chose not to return her soul
and in turn
left her trapped in
her self inflicted hole...
the one she dug herself...
the one she dug when no one heard
her screams for help.

It was in this hole that
the demon
she became was now erased,
she drowned from chocking on her blood
this was the night that
she had, had enough...
