Daybreak

by Robert Daniel Long   Sep 15, 2008

As daybreak comes
It slides in
On silent wings
Shining through the trees
The fingers of sunlight............come
Slowly waking us
To the morning
And another beautiful day
In which to rejoice

The Loons begin to sing
Greeting the day
With their laughter

The songs
Of all living things
Is a music
Created
Only by the souls
Of a chorus of hearts
Giving their all

Such a beautiful melody
Choreographed
By the song of love

A breeze blows in
Carrying the fragrance
Of a thousand flowers
Blooming in the meadows

It smells
Like a bride
On her wedding day
The fragrance thats captivating
And alluring

Giving into a cascade
Of memories
Those created by the newness
Of love

It's an uncertain journey
Rushing into it
You're
Full of joy
And yet scared
Of the new ambiance
Created by a new love

These morning rituals
Carry on daily
Through out the year
Each day
Is a new beginning
On a life
Built on love and nurturing

The life
That two hearts make
When the souls
Of these two hearts
Were meant to be
And were joined as one

here at daybreak
