I've watched the news
And...I've been in prayer
Watching an ever saddening site
As our country devours itself
My heart breaks
While my wounded soul.....weeps
I've watched way to long
Seeing a great nation
Split.......with derision
Stemming from the essence
Of stupidity and greed
We're coming apart
Torn from the inside out
A slow destruction
From ignorant
Yet biased politicians....corrupt
To the bone
There's a reckoning coming
It's been a long time
In the making
We've pushed it aside way to long
All in the attempt
To prolong the inevitable
And now we're to pay the price
This is....but the beginning
Oh...there's more to come
Like a storm on the horizon
It is hiding its severity
All beneath the waves
Of hypocrisy
Those waves that are shielding
The corrupt
As a soldier and warrior
To win war you become war
But this is different
It's a war of attrition
Waged by corrupt politicians
Against the people
Hoping we won't discover
Their evil ways
Whilst filling their pockets
Off our sweat and blood
I fear my worst fear
Is coming but soon
America is being taken hostage
By the enemies
Politicians are blind too
These sycophants are giving away
Everything fought for
Earned by those
Who paid the ultimate price
Death
This reckoning
It's coming
We've pushed it aside far to long
