I heard them say

by BornAgainWriter   Sep 19, 2008

I heard them say that she's a weird girl,
I heard them say that she a funny one,
That she has no apparent place in the world,
That I shouldn't be alive that I should be done.

I heard them say that she got that banging body,
But doesn't wear the clothes to flaunt it,
I heard them say she can't see cleary; she clumsy,
Bummed out and a little depressed I began to sit.

I thought to myself well who am I supposed to impress?
Why can't I just be me and look the way that I want to?
Do I have to walk out of my house wearing a black dress?
I thought all I had to impress was me- not you.

I heard them say that she lives in the drama house,
It gets loud and her mother and father always yell,
Her house isn't just anything normal it's a madhuse,
How'd they know because I choose not to tell.

Can they see the craziness when they look in my eyes?
Or can they just hear everything at night,
When the street lights go out and the noise dies,
When I'm alone in my room- crying, sitting tight.
