This Storm

We're running through this city
Under dark clouds and main street lights
Tired from never slowing down
And all the stupid fights

Fake apathy sparks apologies
While flash floods and lightning strike
Let down again, we drown again
And hope is out of sight

Let the rain pour
Let the sky roar
With rain drops like marbles
We will make it through this storm

To give up or give in
Deciding is like fighting the wind
But if we just hope and try
Our hearts will surely win

So let the rain pour

    Beautiful wording and descriptions in this stanza and in the whole poem. I really liked this write, it was so enjoyable to read, good work! Keep writing, always and forever....
