October wind

by resisting reason   Sep 23, 2008

The winds of change sweep through
And fill the October air

Without any color left
The roses are just stems
Autumn as finally come
And I'm going to miss them

Because now that the roses are gone
The sky will only be gray
Because the roses were the only thing
Keeping the clouds away

So now the sky is overcast and gloomy
The air is crisp and cool
Mother nature is here
And she's breaking all the rules

Its to cold for fall
So the leaves change and come down
From off the branches
To blanket the ground

So the sky has changed
And so have the trees
But the changing winds
Still blow free

Mother nature has no control
Not over the breeze
So as it blows and furthers the change
The change tortures me

So I do the only thing I can
I look to the sky
Gray and gloomy as it is
October will eventually die

And strange as it may be
November welcomes me
