Civilisation

by Sourav   Sep 24, 2008

Thousands years of civilisation
And after these thousand years
Life stumbles in commotion
In atrocious fear.

Monarchy is gone with colonialism
But dictators still dictate the tears
Life is now in total absolutism
One more died today in the frontier.

Life lingers like the caterpillars
Supersonic flies above my head
'Raptor' eats thousand of dollars
And a child dies for a bread.

Thousands years of civic society
And after these civil years
Dancing in blood soaked prosperity
Over the corpse' pier.

How many mosques burned down?
How many Christian died -
Succumb to the religious clown
Leave sanctity to subside.

Man's hunger for cognition
Satellite is exploring the stars
People are dying without nutrition
Scientists are searching life in the mars.

Thousands years of human race
And after these thousand years
The world thinks with shamefulness
Behind its cheers.

Modernity smiles in evolution's eyes
This life smiles at its myopia
No one really knows, not a surprise
How people are dieing in Ethiopia.

White hates black; black hates brown
Hatred made nest in the tree of morality
Everyone hates each other in your town
As Rotten love mourns again in this reality.

Thousands years of humanity
And after these thousand years
I'm seeking for little clarity
In life's sphere.
