Beauty

by Absinth Eyes   Sep 26, 2008

You see beauty differently than me-
You see curves and careful words
I see eyes and intentions.

The eyes are truly beautiful
Because when your eyes meet another's
You keep a part of them.
You hold their hand
You breathe their breath
For that instant
They hold your soul in sight
And you hold them inside.

And more than anything
Beauty is a feeling...

It's the emotion someone evokes
When their words match their body
And their stories set like wet cement
With their signature gently etched inside
A part of them lingers on every word
And they let you see inside
Whether with words, actions, or simple motions
They tie a piece of their soul to yours
And color the rest with mysteries
So you never let them far from your mind
And they never leave your chest
So even if that beauty disappears
They linger in you for years.

Beauty dips down through the eyes
And consumes your very mind
It intoxicates like poison
And drips away too slow to see.

You see beauty differently than me.
