Dancing in the Dark

by Absinth Eyes   Jan 13, 2008

I stand in a dream
With rounded skies
The blue pools on the outside
It's almost black and white

A face that always changes
Speaking words it never knew
Unaware of what it is
As it stumbles through the night

And should it meet another soul
They'll lock hands for the night
And dance with death on train tracks
Waiting for a crash of light

And should the trains come calling
They shall part without a breathe
Their glances never touching
The hearts remain unmet

And when trains slide between them
They can simply dance away
And leave the night to whisper
All their secrets to the day

And should they meet ever again
The colors mark their hearts
And they will part forever more
From dancing in the dark
