Teach Us

by To Many Personalities To Be Tame   Sep 27, 2008

Teachers Teachers
All around
Just to make sure they
Smack us down

Say nice things
Give us A's
But when we get a C
They always say

We could do better
We could do great
If only we would listen
To them disengrate

The world as we see it
The world we know
So they can rip up history
And tie its mouth with a bow

Teachers Teachers
All around
Just to make sure they
Smack us down

PS- I dont know if it really makes sense as a whole, but to me it means everything. I have nothing against teachers but they sometimes really need to focus on what they're teaching us, so they can notice that not everything in those books are right.

I so truly get what you say. The history that we are thaught is what the survivor wrote and not what he destroyed. Our knowledge is always partial.

I don't really get the A en C's stuff. It sounds to juvenile for something that holds so much truth and meaning.

History is more important than getting good grades on your test.
