Behind My Smile

by Jenna Rose Kat   Sep 28, 2008

Behind my smile,
There lies the things you'll never understand,
Too ugly for your pretty little face to see,
So don't bother asking what's wrong,
Because nothing is ever okay for me.

Behind my eyes,
A soul is dying from torture,
But her screams are too loud to be heard,
She's trying to claw her way out,
But still they call her absurd.

Behind my lies,
Is the truth I never told you,
It was always too harsh to hear,
Too harsh for truth is cruel,
So fluffy lies we'll never fear.

Behind my smile,
Is the life I've held in,
I always longed to let it free,
But was chained down too hard,
So it rotted to misery.
