Lies and deceptions

by tigerdan   Oct 4, 2008

I find myself opening my eyes
seeing things I have to despise
yet I can't seem to close them again
I find the truth so disdain

the deceitfulness of their intent, so degrading
to our standard values and up bringing
yet people seem to be so content
even willing to be ignorant

with the world destructions
keeping our knowledge in fragments
our spirituality repressed
by our desires and possessions

we believe our society's statutes
though appalled and discontent
believing the words to be truthful
through the governments lies by the mouthful

falling into the undeniable darkness and deceptions
while they keep us distracted
with our parks of amusement
those we call entertainment

Prevent us from thinking or using our brains
they may as well put us in chains
Oh the things the governments do
Just to keep us docile and obedient too

we are completely oblivious
to the power, that we have to change this world
so we are not governed by this new world
to lead us into the corruption of the governments

putting them down onto their knees
knowing that we have the power as human beings
even though we are repressed by ignorance
Yet content to hang out in our mundane living room

where we believe to be safe and immune
from the outside chaos
remaining unaffected
