Forgotten

Do you even realize I am here?
I think I do exist, don't I?
You won't ever realize I'm visible, will you?
Don't need your answers, I know I'm too tangled for you to handle

I have tried everything to impress you, EVERYTHING
I was ready to give you anything, anything you want
To smile in my face was all I asked for,
To love me as you loved her, was that too much to ask for?

I loved you in a very very special way,
You simply smashed my heart, wasn't a big deal, was it...
An adorable child they all say, an annoying one u saw
A hardworking girl she was, a stubborn girl you said

Thank you for teaching me how horrible life is like,
Treating me unfairly, using me in a pretty smart way
You knew me very well that you always hurt me perfectly
With a simple trick, I naively forgave you and came back

As a grown girl now, I tell you this and want you to know
You are not my hero anymore, you never saved me anyway
I don't wont you to feel proud I'm your daughter anymore
You are out of my own little world, as I'm forgotten in yours

*This is the first time I talk abt my broken relationship with my dad...*

    Aww, Nour...this is so touching and so sad.
    I have had a break up with my dad too for five years. I was sad all the time, but I wanted to teach him a lesson...and he did learn it. I hope, I truly hope that the two of you will be able to sort out your differences, because your family is what is closest to your heart. Insha'Allah you two will be friends again.

    I loved how you wrote this poem it was a very well written poem because you made the reader understand the broken relationship. I have a poem about my realtionship with my father...its pretty wordy...its always hard to talk about your relationship with your father...specially because they were such a big influence.....and then not anymore..
