Back To You

by Danielle   Oct 8, 2008

There's something about you that keeps bring me back to you
There's never any explanation
Nothing spoken within the words you speak
Your touch -- it's silent to the sound my heart cries
And I'm drawn to you
Watching, wishing as you pull me forth

You're there
A thousand miles away
And I still feel you as if you were here beside me
Your touch lingering, reminding me of my weakness
My need for you to hold me up
Reminding me of my fragilities
My lacking strength
Oh I feel you here pulling me down
Back into your arms

I thought I was strong
Cause you loved me for every fragile crack I bore
Tenderly you'd hold me without touch
And I wanted nothing more but to fall into your tears
And swim amongst the memory of everything you believed
And awaken within your dreams
For you believed what could never be
And I wanted to be everything I wasn't suppose to be

I'm torn
Tossed among this need I feel
And the urge to leave behind everything you've ever meant
For I don't want to fall back into you
And I don't want to lose another moment lost in you

I fall to my knees
And I've come to realize I can't let go of you
Oh set me free, leave me be
Can't you see, your holding me down?
And I'm losing me

There's something that always brings me back to you
It never takes to long before I'm back in your arms
Wishing I was gone.
