The Goodness Inside

by Ramblings of an ageing Kid   Oct 12, 2008

I draw these words in a peace of mind
Like colorless curtains to hide behind
Though you can see right through
I know that this is where my refuge lies

As I lie and lie about this wicked soul
Like a thousand year old tree waiting for the call
Looking so strong but week deep inside
Knowing that one day all this glory will fall

As I loom my preys with stirs of sweetness
This sweetness is lust, as my heart is loveless
Suddenly, when the masquerade shall fall
The beast is invoked, oh!! So merciless.

Tears you will see, my deception you will taste
Anticipating hell, but it comes from heavens grace
My heart pounds to attack, but my spirit is restless
Denying my evilness, along the time I waste

There she stands! My weak broken bride
Waiting for love to embrace her wasted pride
As I run away from my wicked past
And once again, glory goes to all the goodness inside
