To say I love you

by Robert Daniel Long   Oct 15, 2008

We go through this life
Thinking we've a good bead on it
Naive of it's circumstances
And .........,
Sometimes aimless

Unaware of the things we say
Or the things we do

We make complex
The most simple of things
And then we try to explain it away
When no explanation is due

How can you explain......, I love you

It's an emotion
It's an attraction................,
Physical and subliminal
You can even see it
Hear it
Experince it
You can in a sense taste it
The essence of yearning

Not the bodily function of it

But to say it
Becomes the most difficult............,
Embrace it

Hold it in your heart
In your mind
And in your being
It's the soul of a person
And the drive..............,
That makes you to become part of a bigger picture

Love

It's to be held by two
The look of the one
Whose eyes gleam..............,
When you say " I love you "
The passion is there
The vulnerability shine though

It's............,
Like the first time
The day you drew her close
And smelled her essence........, but held the innocence
The kiss that seemed to last
An eterinity

Hoping that it would be..........,
Amoment without end

Draw her close
And forget the fears
Hold her forever in your arms
And
Never miss the chance to say

I love you

    by Daisy if you do

I just can't believe that I have never perchanced to read this prior to today. I usually tend to overlook love poems because it seems that it usually is a cliche look at love. However you have done a great job with this. It brought to mind some thoughts I have been having of late that as long as you express your love in every way then the actual need for it to be said would be null. But then again I am wrong it should be told as well as practiced. Love the poem, great job, Kay
